ENGLISH EQUITATION HORSE SHOW

Chaps are not allowed in Equitation classes.

Long Stirrup Division
Open to beginner riders 12 years and older, as of 1/1 this year. May divide into junior/senior if entries warrant. May enter no other classes except Walk/Trot Trail and Fitting and Showing. Diagonals to count.

104 Long Stirrup Equitation- walk, trot both directions
105 Long Stirrup Pleasure - walk, trot, canter both directions.
106 Open Long Stirrup Crossrails 18" - (trot or canter)

107 Rookie Equitation- This class is sponsored by CLAIRE EZEQUELLE, DANBURY. Entrants may not have passed their 11th birthday as of 1/1 this year. Rider to walk unassisted and trot on a lead. May not enter any classes other than Fit/Show. To encourage riders, all will receive ribbons.

Advanced Rookie Equitation Division
This division is sponsored by LISA HAWKES, TRUMBULL. Open to riders in their first year of showing. Entrants may not have passed their 12th birthday as of 1/1 of this year. Walk and trot in a group. Control, use of aids and position to be judged. May not enter any classes other than Fit/Show. DIAGONALS NOT TO COUNT. To encourage riders, all will receive ribbons.

108 Equitation – walk and trot both directions
109 Pleasure - walk and trot both directions
110 Command – walk, trot, halt and change of direction.

Advanced Rookie Champion and Reserve

Micro Walk/Trot Division
This division is sponsored by RHONDA AND JACOB, NEWTOWN. Open to riders who have not reached their 12th birthday as of 1/1 this year. May enter no other classes except W/T trail and Fit/Show. Diagonals do count. Division may be divided into sections.

111 Equitation- walk/trot both directions.
112 Pleasure- walk and trot both directions
113 Walk/Trot ground poles- 4 ground poles

This division and Year-End award is sponsored by SUNNYBROOK FARMS, NEWTOWN. Open to riders who have not reached their 12th birthday as of 1/1 this year. May enter no other classes except W/T Trail and Fit/Show. Diagonals do count. Division may be divided into sections.

114 Equitation- walk/trot both directions
115 Pleasure- walk and trot both directions
116 Crossrails- 4 crossrails not to exceed 12"

Walk/Trot Champion and Reserve

Short Stirrup Division
This division and Year-End award is sponsored SILVER HORSESHOE STABLES, MILFORD. Open to riders who have not reached their 18th birthday as of 1/1this year. May never have shown over a course in excess of 2’. May enter no other equitation classes except Color Horse. MAY NOT SHOW ON THE OUTSIDE COURSE. Division may be divided into sections if needed.

117 Short Stirrup Equitation- walk, trot, canter
118 Short Stirrup Pleasure - walk, trot, canter
120 Short Stirrup O/F - 8 crossrails not to exceed 18” no change of direction

Short Stirrup Champion and Reserve

Open Beginner Hunter Division
Open to both Sr and Jr Riders. Entrants are eligible for Maiden Equitation but NOT Jr Equitation, or any division on the outside course, except Pleasure. Classes may be split if entries warrant.

Open to riders who have not reached their 18th birthday as of 1/1 this year. May not have won more than 3 blue ribbons in Maiden classes at Schooling or Recognized shows.

124 Maiden Equitation O/F-8 fences not to exceed 2'3"
125 Maiden Equitation. O/F-8 fences not to exceed 2'3"

Open Equitation Division
Open to junior or adult riders. May show in Maiden Equitation if eligible.

126 Open Equit.- walk, trot, canter both directions
127 Open Equit. O/F - 8 fences 2'6" One change of direction
128 Open Equit. 0/F-8 fences 2'6" challenging course

Color Horse Division
This division and Year-End award is sponsored by TIMBER HILL FARMS, NEWTOWN. Open to any recognized color breed (Pinto, Paint, Appaloosa, Palomino, Buckskin, etc.) 20% of score will be based on color breed characteristics. Pattern will be posted. See the ad for this Year-End award sponsor in the Western portion of the prize book.

103 Green Horse Command- Horses to be judged on manners (50%), way of going (25%) and Suitability (25%). May be
asked to halt and canter.

217 Versatility Challenge – open to all riders, Western or English. There are 4 components of this class: pattern, timed barrel race; crossrail
jump, and a pleasure ride in the ring.
